In a unexpected crossover event that breaks usual expectations, Ubisoft has unveiled an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering free additional story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Mission Uncovered

According to the authorized statement, "A strange meeting leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where whispers of forbidden practices and terrifying transformations reverberate through the darkness." The storyline presents a "strangely dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a clandestine sect.

The adventure concentrates on "bizarre experiments and a fearsome foe" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Iconic Settings and Transformations

The teaser features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser concludes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, probably the captive, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Items and Extra Material

Players who successfully complete the adventure will acquire an exclusive katana in addition to numerous artifacts secreted throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
