The UK Prime Minister plans to press partner nations to provide Ukrainian forces with more long-range missiles to hit enemy locations during discussions in Britain on Friday.

Britain's leader plans to receive Ukraine's leader Volodymyr Zelensky alongside the so-called "alliance of supportive nations", comprising more than 20 of Kyiv's partners who have pledged to grant Ukraine protection commitments once hostilities pause is brokered.

Ukraine's president has been pleading for several weeks for more advanced missile technology from Western nations, an action that Russia has cautions would intensify the war.

Ukraine's leader is journeying from Brussels, where he held talks with EU leaders on the previous day pursuing funding aid.

"The only person involved in the ongoing war who does not want to end the war is President Putin," Sir Keir said.

Britain's leader will also reveal that a hundred additional air defense systems will be provided to Kyiv sooner than scheduled, as outlined in a £1.6bn deal reached between the UK and Ukraine in March.
